Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

⦿ Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is an undergraduate degree course in the field of Pharmacy education.

⦿ The duration of this course is 4 years.

⦿ After the completion of this course, the students can practice as a Pharmacist.

⦿ Pharmacists will work in industries related to the prescription, manufacture & provision of medicines.

⦿ The B.Pharm is the popular job oriented course among the science students after intermediate or +2.

⦿ B.Pharm course provides a large number of job opportunities in both the public and private sector firms.

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharma-D)

⦿ Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharma-D) is a course in the field of Pharmacy education.

⦿ Pharm D is the first professional degree, and a prerequisite course to get the license to practice as the pharmacist in many countries.

⦿ The qualification required is 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with any one of the Mathematics or Biology subject.

⦿ The duration of the course is six academic years (five years of study and one year of internship)

⦿ In the phase of training a student is exposed to pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy services and acquires practical skills under the supervision of doctors.

⦿ Internship or residency training including postings in specialty units. The student has to independently provide the clinical pharmacy services to the allotted wards.

⦿ Pharm D trains students to work in hospital settings, relevant industry environments and to pursue higher degrees or clinical research.

⦿ Every student who has passed the examinations for the Pharm.D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) is granted a certificate by the examining authority.

⦿ After earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and passing licensure examinations, College of Pharmacy graduates can practice pharmacy anywhere the country.
