Difference between IRIS and PUPIL

Iris and pupil are the most sensitive and visible parts of the eye. Lets discuss about IRIS and PUPIL and their differences briefly. Among all the five sense organs Eye is one of the major sense organ. The Human eye is a sensitive and a complex sense organ. The Human eye helps in seeing the things, their colors, in several perceptions and also to understand them. It is necessary to understand the structure and functioning of the Human eye. It is made of several complex parts working together. It consists of several parts like Iris, Pupil, Retina, Optic nerve, Cornea etc.,

Difference between Iris and Pupil

IRIS:

It is located behind the Cornea. It may be of different colors and vary from person to person. One of the functioning of the Iris is that it can adjust its size according to the exposure of the light on the eye. It adjust the amount of light that reaches the retina. Another function of the eye is that it can adjust the size of the pupil.

PUPIL:

Pupil originally displays the image to the retina. In simple terms Pupil can be explained as a hole in the IRIS which allows a certain amount of light or image to the inner eye. It is controlled by the IRIS.

Conclusion:

In simple terms when u look into a Human eye the outer circle you see in the white space(called as Cornea) is called as the IRIS  which maybe in different colors from person to person and IRIS is the black hole within the IRIS is called as Pupil and it’s size is controlled by the Iris and it allows a certain amount of light that enters the eye to reduce the damage caused by the light for the eye.
